Tehran is ready to reinitiate atomic negotiations with the United States on condition that it is treated with "respect" and "respect", Iran's foreign minister has announced.

The previous five rounds of discussions between the United States and Iran were ended suddenly and acrimonious termination on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, attacked Tehran's atomic facilities in a 12-day war that ended with the American leader asserting the facilities had been eliminated. Afterward, European countries exercised their right to reinstate international penalties, but Iran insists they have not had a major impact.

Iranian officials stated they felt they had achieved a "perfect agreement" to the nuclear fuel concern in prior discussions, when it was agreed an domestic cooperative with Washington's engagement could enrich uranium. In what is described by Iranian officials as the conflict of restoration and rebuilding, the foreign minister stated he was confident Iran's defence capabilities "are considerably enhanced than preceding 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been rebuilt. We gained numerous insights from this engagement; we have come to know our internal vulnerabilities and the vulnerabilities of the enemy."

He continued: "We successfully passed this war. Our atomic expertise, which they planned to eliminate, continues to exist. The installations and gear, if destroyed, will be reconstructed; what is crucial is the will of the citizens of Tehran and then the national cohesion that they sought to undermine, but did not succeed to break. The nation of Iran have grown more powerful, more integrated, and more supportive of the administration and the nation in the aftermath of this invasion."
