Sir Keir Starmer plans to press partner nations to supply Ukraine with further advanced missile systems to hit Moscow's positions during talks in London on this Friday.

Britain's leader plans to receive Ukraine's leader the Ukrainian head of state alongside what's known as "alliance of supportive nations", comprising over twenty of Kyiv's partners who have pledged to offer Ukraine security guarantees once a ceasefire is brokered.

Ukraine's president has been appealing for several weeks for further advanced missile technology from allied countries, a step that Russia has cautions would worsen the war.

President Zelensky is travelling from Brussels, where he held talks with European Union officials on Thursday seeking financial support.

"The only person engaged in the ongoing war who declines to stop the conflict is President Putin," Starmer said.

Britain's leader will also declare that one hundred additional air defense systems will be provided to Ukrainian forces ahead of schedule, as detailed in a substantial financial arrangement reached between the United Kingdom and Kyiv in last spring.

Diplomatic Momentum

Ukraine's leader comes off the back of important international achievements this week: Washington's action to implement further sanctions against Moscow, and EU nations deciding to fund Ukraine's financial gap.

Britain's leader is aiming to continue the progress by escalating the influence on the Kremlin to discuss a resolution to the war.

Britain's leader will encourage leaders to ramp up the provision of advanced missile technology following a successful operation on an industrial facility in the Russian city, Russia, using UK-provided Storm Shadow missiles.

"And his brutal assaults on small children in a daycare recently demonstrate that abundantly clear," he continued.

Several minors were among at least seven killed in a wave of enemy assaults on Ukrainian territory, which struck a preschool facility in the important metropolitan area Ukraine's second city.

Financial Discussions

Britain's leader will confer with Western allies on approaches for take Russia's petroleum resources off the global market.

United States also revealed measures on midweek against Moscow's two largest energy corporations, the state-owned company and Lukoil Corporation, as component of initiatives to apply financial pressure on the Kremlin to begin peace talks.

Moscow launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in winter 2022. It currently holds about twenty percent of the country's land, encompassing the southern region the Russian government annexed in several years ago.
