Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
